The Italian family-owned company Candy was founded in 1945 by Eden Fumagalli. The company's headquarters is located near Milan in the city of Brugherio. Starting from a small mechanical workshop, in 1945 Candy introduced Italy's first semi-automatic washing machine with a centrifuge. Since then, the company has been paying great attention to innovation and 6 years later it produces a fully automatic machine, and then a dishwasher.

From the very beginning of production, when producing washing machines and dishwashers, the Italian company takes care of factors such as saving energy and water, which, of course, , is very important for the consumer at any time. Since the company is a family business, Eden's children take an active part in its activities. In particular, Niso Fumagalli, who contributed to most of Candy's developments, was awarded the University of Geneva Prize, one of the most prestigious awards in the field of engineering.
