The BOSCH company, now known throughout the world, was founded in 1886 by the Stuttgart-born electrical engineer Robert Bosch. Then it was a small enterprise called “Workshop of Precision Mechanics and Electrical Engineering”, where only two people worked. At first, the company was engaged in the production of automotive ignition systems and electric engines, and this brought BOSCH its first popularity. However, Robert Bosch did not stop there and, literally in a few years, turned his business into a successful company. The motto of which was the founder’s own saying: “It is better to lose in profit than in the trust of your customers.” BOSCH remains faithful to this statement to this day.

The company has not only produced products, but also innovative developments. Thus, BOSCH created and introduced to the market the world's first spark plugs, low and high beam headlights, variable grinders, cordless and electric hammer drills, as well as the world's fastest 2-kilogram BOSCH hammer drill. In addition, the company received the status of one of the best manufacturers of household appliances for such items as freezers, cookers, washing machines and dishwashers.
